Queen at the Opera was part of The Grange Festival 2025 lineup, with performances on the 5th, 8th, and 19th of June.

Overview

Marking 50 years of Queen’s legendary album A Night at the Opera, which introduced the world to Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen at the Opera was a one-of-a-kind concert at The Grange Festival 2025 that celebrated the connections between opera and the music of Queen and Freddie Mercury. Mercury’s lifelong passion for opera fuelled his music, including his famous collaboration with acclaimed soprano Montserrat Caballé on the album Barcelona.

Audiences experienced opera classics alongside orchestrated Queen hits, conducted by Edwin Outwater (5, 8 June) and Pete Harrison (19 June), leading the BBC Concert Orchestra and an ensemble of operatic and rock singers. Whether guests were devoted Queen fans, on a day trip from London, or searching for unforgettable concerts in Hampshire, Queen at the Opera delivered a truly memorable experience.
