Tim Parker joins The Grange Festival's Board of Trustees

The Grange Festival is delighted to announce that it has appointed Tim Parker to join its Board of Trustees, effective immediately.

A man with strong cultural interests, Tim Parker became Chairman of the National Trust in November 2014 and of Post Office in July 2015.

Tim owns the British Pathé Film Archive, he is a patron of the National Theatre and friend of the Royal Opera. Tim lists his other interests as playing the flute, collecting art, running and the restoration of a walled garden at his home.

A former economist for HM Treasury he has had an outstanding business career in which he turned round the fortunes of the AA, Kwik Fit, Clarks Shoes and Kenwood Appliances. He has served on the boards of three FTSE 100 companies (Legal and General, Alliance Boots and the Compass Group) and was the Chairman of Channel Nine TV in Australia.

Sir Charles Haddon-Cave, Chairman of The Grange Festival, says:

I am delighted to welcome Tim Parker to the Board of Trustees of The Grange Festival. As one of the country’s most distinguished business figures and now Chairman of the National Trust and Post Office, he will bring formidable qualities to the Board and help the Festival become a world-class cultural centre in its unique Arcadian setting at The Grange in Hampshire.”
